What was the test called with the tennis balls and throwing them against the wall in GCSE pe?

Mr Ibrahim said...

Hi Ben,

the test is called the Alternate Hand ball toss. Two metres from the wall - counting how many times you can shift the ball from left to right and back in 60 seconds. It tests hand-eye co-ordination.

Hope this helps

what are the components of fitness i know-
cardiovascular
muscular endurance
muscular strength
flexibility
AND.......

Mr Ibrahim said...

...the missing one is Body composition. If you go back to the home page of this blog you will find the components explained through images and definitions!

Also get used to calling Cardiovascular - Cardiovascular fitness which translated means 'To pump (cardio) blood (vascular)...an intersting fact!

Sir what do we do for the last two bulletpoints on the last page of the project?

Mr Ibrahim said...

I've had a few people asking this so I will clear this up in the next lesson.

Can you tell us what the deadline is for submitting the year 10 PE project? I can't find the info anywhere.

Thanks

I'm doing the Healthy and active lifestyles Task 3 but I'm confused because the powerpoint said that we need to be a concerned parent and the document said that we need to write about the positives and negatives of the results that I have found and back them up with Statistics. Which one should I do?

Mr Ibrahim said...

It's a combination of both! Having done the surveys, you must produce an article which gives a rounded arguement about any positive and negative attitudes towards participation.

You will then write a letter to the minister of sport as a concerned parent stating the issues and suggesting some solutions.

I hope this helps,

mr I

I'm doing the lesson plan at the moment and I'm just wondering exactly how long I have to teach my lesson?

For the test on Tuesday are we allowed to bring in a planning sheet for the set question?

Mr Ibrahim said...

Yes! Only one sheet of A4 with a plan or mind map, not the actual essay though!

For the essay on king or queen of the sports how are we meant to compare the diffrent sports if we dont have our folders?

Mr Ibrahim said...

Hi Lizzie, just wait! When we come back you will have two weeks to write it up. I wanted you guys to focus on the end of module exam. Now that is out of the way we can finish the project off. Hope this clears things up.

Have a good half term,
