Sorry sir
i left this too late but you said there were the rules of every sport on here but i cannot find them...

Eric, you won't find the rules on this blog! You'll need to research these and link them to Unit 4 - understanding fair play.

You will find the templates in GCSE - analysis of performance (three sections below the definition for Speed on the home page). Save the templates and fill as you go.

See me tomorrow if you still can't find them.....

1. A sports official needs to know the rules well and know what is acceptable in a game. They also need to know how to deal with problems/rule-breaks when they occur.

2. We need to have rules because without them it would be chaos. No one would know what was acceptable, and there would be many arguments/fights over decisions.

3. It gave the group a clear understanding of what the had to do.

4. I made sure the session was enjoyable for the class. I made sure everyone was involved in the activities. I think the competitive element of the games made it more enjoyable for the class as they felt a sense of acheivment when playing as did I.

5. Basic Rules of Tennis :

1) It is played on a rectangular court by either two players (singles) or four (doubles).

2) Players stand on opposite sides of a net and use a stringed racket to hit a ball back and forth to each other.

3)Each player has a maximum of one bounce after it has been hit by their opponent to return the ball over the net and within the boundaries of the court.

4) Once a player fails to do any of these three things, their opponent wins a point.

5) The aim is to win enough points to win a game, enough games to win a set and enough sets to win a match.

6) The first person to win six games wins a set, but only if they are leading by two clear games.

7) That means that if your opponent wins five games, you must win the set 7-5, or play a tie-break if the game score reaches six all.

8) Matches are usually the best of three (women) or the best of five sets (men), although some men's tournaments just play the best of three sets.

6. I made the group clear of the rules and expectations before the activities started. So if there was a decision that had to be made during an activity. I could confidently tell them what they were doing wrong.

-Position of players at start of game: The player playing the position of centre must be standing within the centre circle, and must pass the ball within 3 seconds of the umpires whistle to start play. All other players must be behind the lines.

1. You need knowledge and understanding of the game rules, they need to be able to be understood easily and not afraid to stand their ground. It can also be useful to have knowledge of the players however this is not a necessity.

2. Rules are necessary to give a game meaning and to give you a sense of accomplishment when completed, if there are no rules there is no point to an activity.

3. The effect was everyone understood the task and overall the whole game worked better.

4. I ensured I covered the ABCSPR when necessary and included activities which would improve there ability. To make it fun I ensured everyone was involved and tried to do new and interesting things.

You need to know the rules of the sport and a basic understanding of how the game works.

We need to have rules so the game is played fairly without any cheating.

The game flowed more, none was cheating and the game was played with a good grace.

Making sure the rules are brought into the game gradually so they know when they have broken them, so they dont make a same mistake again.

5. ?

Making sure they undertand the rules and being harsh if they do break them so they dont break them again.
