Year 10 Leadership Award Level One - 2009/20010: Unit 7 - Demonstration of leadership skills in sport

Task:-

1. Organise a number of sports sessions, ideally in two different sporting or recreational activities for your peer group or lower age group children.


2. Complete a minimum of three hours of leadership experience using the skills and experience gained from Units 1-6 whilst under direct supervision.


3. Record each of the session that you lead and place them into this blog.

1.I organised my lesson with the rest of my group.We started off playing Kika's version of Simon says, this got the children in the mood for exercising. We then set up a course which looked a bit like a small crash course. The course included bean bags, hoops, nets and cones.

1. I organised a lesson for age group of five children aged eight. It included various fun mini game that taught the children in things like agility balance coordination and speed.


2. I will be compleating these with Miss Arkle.

1. I organised a lesson with a couple of other people. We started off with a warm up game called fruit salad. This got the kids warmed up and interested. We then set up a obstacle course with featured all of the ABC's so the children could develop them better.

I have helped out and officated at Weston Park primary school netball team.

-First session: I ran acitvites
and warm ups, and finnaly got
the students into a game. 1
hour.

-Second session: I officiated
small shooting practices and
helped run a warm up and warm
down. 1 hour.

-Third session: I did a warm
up, small activites and
refereed a game, putting into
pracice fair play and safety.
1 hour, 45 minutes.

to note: i have also done many more hours with them, doing similar things, for up to two months, One and a half hour weekly sessions.
