Year 10 GCSE Exam Checklist

In the final week before christmas, you will have an end of module test on Health Related Exercise. You will need to revise:-

Social, mental and physical reasons

Definitions of :-

2. Five components of Health-Related Exercise -


  • Cardiovascular Fitness
  • Muscular Endurance
  • Muscular Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Body Composition


3. Six Components of Skill Related fitness


  • Speed
  • Reaction Time
  • Power
  • Agility
  • Co-ordination
  • Balance

4. Principles of training


  • Specificity
  • Progression
  • Overload
  • Reversibilty
  • Type

  • Frequency
  • Intensity
  • Time
  • Type

You will need to say what they are, what they mean and give sporting examples to show us what you think it means.

For example,

Agility is - The ability to move quickly and accurately.

Examples of this would be:-

A Tennis player changing direction to return a forehand

A Footballer dribbling with the ball to outwit an opponent

A High-Jumper clearing the bar


The test will last for 30 minutes and will be worth a total of 40 marks to the assessment of this module.

The deffinition of sport is a group or singular activity that is played to improve coordination and fitness.
The deffinition of fitt is frequency, intensity, time and type.

persoanl exercise


i play for my school team.and i started playing football when i was 7 years old in primery school
.and i picked football becuause it make's you get fit,get speed,albilty,power and performance.the position i play is rigth back and my favourite player is leo miess because he's got the speed,ability,stamer,and performance.compareing me to leo miess is a big diffecrnts because i have no ability,no power.no speed,no stamer and no performance.and the waknesses of leo miess is that he's not strong to hold the ball with him and a other play in the game and the other one is that he need's to put power in the shoot he is giveing...
